A pillar of the community in lower Manhattan, Trinity Church has played an integral part in New York history from the Revolutionary War to present day. In 1698 Capt. William Kidd gave the runner and tackle from his ship to the builders for hoisting during construction. The church was rebuilt twice before the final reconstruction was completed in 1846. Admire the bronze doors and 23 bells, which reflect the rich patronage the church has received throughout the years. See the burial place of Alexander Hamilton and other famed New Yorkers in the cemetery. Near the burial grounds, you can also visit the tree sculpture commemorating those lost on 9/11. The church is still active with services and a full music program. Alexander, Eliza and Phillip Hamilton. Also a memorial for Robert Fulton. It’s free to see and right beside the train station.

Beautiful church and church grounds. Be prepared for screening to go inside. It was very quiet when we went. Make time to explore the graves in the churchyard.

Beautiful church! The solid metal doors are amazing in itself. The graveyard on both sides is a great place to wander around. With one of its famous resident Alexander Hamilton. The inside is a peaceful place. You do have to Show proof of vaccination. You also have to go through a metal detector. The staff are friendly. If you are in lower Manhattan or Wall Street area, you should stop by this church.

Beautiful classic architecture. Did not go inside, but this church is so beautiful on the outside .. The garden is amazing! Just walking the grounds was very spiritual and restful. …
