Get above many of Manhattan's high-rises at Top of the Rock, with an unobstructed, 360-degree view from the 70th floor. You can also gaze far and wide from protected outdoor terraces on the 67th and 69th floors. After a renovation that kept it closed for several years, the deck reopened in 2005. Designed to resemble an ocean liner's deck, the observation deck offers a bird's-eye view of many of the city's iconic buildings. A timed entry system helps keep the lines shorter and the experience less crowded than at other viewing platforms in the city. Save even more time by purchasing your tickets online. • I loved this entire experience. Staff were very helpful from start to end and the views! Oh the views were stunning and that was an understatement. Each of the 3 observation decks gives a new perspective and more photo opportunities. I am not a lover of heights but this building was perfect for seeing this amazing city without worrying about how high up I was. Highly recommend especially if like myself you love the Empire State building. The views are simply stunning.
  • This place offered some pretty amazing views of NYC. If you don't mind spending the money to go into this place, then it is pretty worth it. I definitely recommend scheduling your date and time before just showing up. We did spend a good 30 minutes in line waiting to get in. In all fairness, it was the weekend, the most popular time is right before sunset, which was around 7pm, and there was going to be an eclipse. I'm sure if you book the same time any other weekend or weekday you wouldn't have to wait in line as long as we did. The elevator is pretty cool and the staff was very friendly. Can't wait to come back and experience it all over again.
