One of the world's most ancient cities, Athens remains Europe's undisputed historical and cultural capital.

Do your shopping at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre and Technohoros Art Gallery. Do some cultural sightseeing at Acropolis of Athens and Temple of Poseidon. Explore Athens' surroundings by going to Schinias Beach (in Marathon), Nea Makri (Sanctuary of the Egyptian Gods & Marathon Beach) and Vouliagmeni (Kavouri Beach, Vouliagmeni Beach, &more). There's lots more to do: stroll around Philopappos Hill, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Kapnikarea, take an in-depth tour of National Archaeological Museum, and pause for some photo ops at Erechtheion.
