Budapest — 4 nights

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Central Market Hall and Herend Porcelain - Hadik Shop. Get in touch with nature at Palatinus Strandfürdő and Harmashatarhegy. There's lots more to do: test the waters at a local thermal spa, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), admire the striking features of Matthias Church, and head outdoors with City Park Városliget.

To find other places to visit, reviews, photos, and more tourist information, refer to the Budapest trip planning website.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
