The Birthplace of Democracy
One of the world's most ancient cities, Athens remains Europe's undisputed historical and cultural capital.Your day by day itinerary now includes Herod Atticus Odeon, Parthenon and Theater of Dionysus. Acropolis of Athens and Areopagus will appeal to history buffs. Visit Glyfada Beach and Voula Beach for some beach relaxation. There's still lots to do: visit Plaka, appreciate the history behind Temple of Olympian Zeus, explore the ancient world of Erechtheion, and take a stroll through Monastiraki.
