Often called "Kastropolis" because of its majestic Venetian castle, Corfu Town once featured such extensive fortifications that a force of over 20,000 soldiers defended them.
Corfu Town is known for historic sites, sightseeing, and wildlife. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: deepen your knowledge of military history at Old Fortress Corfu, appreciate the history behind Kostas Georgakis Monument, tour the pleasant surroundings at Corfu Donkey Rescue, and look for gifts at Corfu Sandals.

Kalambaka — 1 night

The gateway to one of the largest monastery complexes in Greece, the small town of Kalambaka nestles against a landscape of imposing rock formations rising 400 m (1,300 ft) into the air. Nearly leveled during World War II, the town rebuilt and reinvented itself in the post-war period, quickly becoming one of the region's major travel destinations.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Fri): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Holy Trinity Monastery (Agia Triada), then take in the spiritual surroundings of Monastery of the Great Meteoron, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Meteora.
