Find your peace in a sacred ancient cave at Vashishta Gufa, on the banks of the Ganges in the midst of a ficus tree grove. Believed to have housed a medidating Lord Brahma’s manasputra, sage Vashishta, the place was dubbed as the yoga capital of the world. Maintained by the late guru Swami Purshottamananda since 1930, the cave houses a Shiva linga considered as sacred. You can reach the cave after climbing some 200 steps. The meditation experience within cave is an awesome divine experience. One should atleast sit there for 30min to feel the bliss. Arundhati cave close by is also must visit.
