Witness a traditional Hindu prayer at Triveni Ghat, one of the area's most-visited ceremonies along the river. Set atop a ghat, or flight of riverfront steps, the prayer involves chanted verses along with bells and drums played by devotees. You can visit and watch as large numbers of leaf boats, filled with flowers and topped with oil candles, are set afloat on the Ganges. Alternatively, stop by one of the many nearby stalls to grab a lantern of your own and add it to the flotilla. Note that two other holy rivers, the Saraswathy and the Yamuna, join with the Ganges here. With our online itinerary creator, Rishikesh attractions like Triveni Ghat can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • The evening Ganga aarti is well organized, disciplined event. A cynosure to the eyes, music to the ears and aroma to the nose. A must attend event for tourists across all religions and nationalities

  • Very nice place to play in water. BTW the water is stable not much flow of water and there are chains and grills so the children can also take a bath and clean off all their sins. One of my best experience
  • Devine experience. Taking an early morning dip in Holy Ganga and looking at rising sun, its an experience of a lifetime. The ghat is clean and well maintained. There is ample space for taking a dip. Iron chains are there to assist you. There are changing rooms for Ladies too. Flow of river is quite high here, so be careful. Make sure to keep the ghat clean.
