Create an itinerary including Parmarth Niketan Ashram
Relax, meditate, and enjoy the gardens of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, the world-famous ashram sitting on the shore of the Ganges in the lap of Himalayas. With over 1,000 rooms and well-maintained gardens set in a huge, peach-color complex, the largest monastery in Rishikesh serves as a popular pilgrimage site. Join morning prayers, yoga, and meditation classes, or listen to lectures given by itinerant sages and spiritual musicians. A private "ghat" (set of riverside stairs) leads to the river, where you can observe a Ganga Aarti ceremony or enjoy an ayurvedic treatment. Take a look at our Rishikesh day trip site to schedule your visit to Parmarth Niketan Ashram and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • The Ashram premises is so peaceful and beautifully decorated. Loved my stay there. However the room services can be improved. The reception doesn't pick up calls sometimes and you need to go physically to the reception to address any problem. Rooms were good and spacious.
  • They have around 1000 rooms in a serene setting. Bookings must be made online, and there is also a canteen. The ashram's environment and aura are serene. They also have an ashram that looks after the ghat. On a daily basis, one can participate in yagya, yoga, meditation classes, and prayer meetings. I stayed at the ashram for four days and had a wonderful time. Kindly note Ashram main gate closed at 9:00 pm and again reopen at 6:00 am.
