  • Nice sandy beach. It's very crowded on weekends. If you visiting Athens during summer try to go on a weekday. But if time doesn't permit you'll have a good time in any case.

  • This public-transport-accessible beach is a real find, for a joyful and beautiful day at the beach while on an Athens visit. My son and I had a great time!

  • Beautiful day at Vouliagmenis. A bit far from the cruise port but we’ll worth it. We took the City Sight Seeing Tour that picks you up right next to the cruise terminal, 2 min walk. Took the Pireus-Athens line. Walked 10 min to the A2 interchange for the Beach and Riviera Line while admiring the Acropolis. From there it’s a 30~40min drive. Once there the beach entrance is less than 50mts away, next to the Oceanis Restaurant. It may come as a surprise to many travelers that you need to pay to access the beach, as most places in the area, it’s not public. It’s €10 per adult, €5 per kid over 5yrs old. Once you get access there is a public section with free blue chairs and umbrellas and a private, serviced section with black sun chairs near the snack shop. The price for a set of 2 chairs, umbrella, little table and security box is €65, but they will give you a credit for the entrance tickets (max. 4: 2 adults, 2 kids) so it’s an extra €35 in the end. The service and prices from the snack bar are very reasonable. Limited to paninis, boxed salads and bagged chips. Great day, but I must confess it was a Monday, I might expect for the place to be a lot more busy as the weeks gets along and specially the weekend.
  • Beautiful beach to spend some time, is it a private place, with only 3€ (winter season ) you can enjoy the facilities. An hour drive from Athens by metro and bus.
