Wine Museum Koutsogiannopoulos
Located underground in a natural cave, Wine Museum Koutsogiannopoulos teaches visitors about Greek wine and wine-making. At 8 m (26 ft) below the ground, the museum spans 300 m (984 ft) of the cave. Follow the labyrinth to learn about the history of wine and the daily life of winemakers in Santorini over the last several centuries. Listen along on an audio guide for details of each step of the wine-making process, from pruning and ploughing the vineyards to harvesting, stomping, and weighing the grapes. Finish your visit with a taste of four of the wines produced by the vineyard, and take home a bottle of your favorite wine as a souvenir. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Wine Museum Koutsogiannopoulos by using our Vothonas online tour planner.

Great museum for understanding history and their process of production. Audio guides are included in the ticket price, and lots informations in English next to each exhibition hall is really helpful. There are lots ancient images and machines around and they look stunning. I wouldn’t say it’s great for young children. There are 5 different packages to choose and the only difference is the wine you taste at the end.

Very informative audio guide and excellent wines to taste after the self guided tour. Well informed staff that seem to know their wines, I’m not a wine expert, but they were good! They also sell small bottles for gifts in the shape of the island, which I thought was a neat touch. Overall a great experience.
