A number of tour companies offer excursions to the uninhabited and picturesque Chrissi Island. Once your boat arrives, you can get orientated by heading to the highest point of the island, Kefala. Sitting 31 m (101 ft) above sea level, this spot provides excellent views of the island. If you're interested in architecture and history, head to the western side to see the Saint Nicholas Chapel, estimated to date back to the 13th century. If you'd like to relax, visit the island's beautiful beaches. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent. Don't forget your snorkeling gear as the shallow waters are rich with unusual shells.
