Create an itinerary including Museum of Cycladic Art
Admire the private collection of Nicholas and Dolly Goulandris at Museum of Cycladic Art, housed inside a neoclassical mansion. The collection of Cycladic art (works from an ancient civilization that once existed on Aegean Islands) includes pottery, ceramics, art, sculpture, and jewelry. The one-of-a-kind galleries, once the private rooms of the Goulandris, are accessible throughout the year and a popular stop on a tour of Athens. Visit the museum's website to learn about temporary exhibits. Plan my trip to Athens with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

  • We came back to this great museum since it is so sweet. Full of classic art from the islands with great displays. And the cafe is terrific. Nice architecture.

  • One of the best places to visit when in Athens. A rare collection of cycladic artifacts just a couple of blocks distance from Athens Syntagma square coupled with a fabulous shop and one of the best...

  • Very beautiful collection of historical artworks in one place. Aimed at a more mature audience who can admire the art for what it is rather than aimed at kids. Very helpful staff and wonderful experience
  • Superbly organized museum. The lights are dimmed, which gives perfect photos. Taking photos is permitted on four floors. It is forbidden to take pics, only of the new, temporary exhibition on the ground floor. The museum is worth the visit.
