Wiener Riesenrad, a landmark on the Vienna skyline, is one of the earliest Ferris wheels ever built. The nearly 65 m (212 ft) tall Ferris wheel opened in 1897 in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Emperor Franz Josef I. Enter one of the eight original wooden cabins that form the Wheel of History. The tour takes you through 2,000 years of the history of the capital city. Audio impressions and an enormous diorama tell the stories of the Prater, which brings a longstanding tradition back to life. Very fun experience, and a must do trip for any visitors to Vienna! When you enter the Ferris wheel area, there are a couple of history displays that are very informative and fun to learn about. Recommend you visit this ride if you’re ever at the theme park. Photos are a little glimpse of the beautiful views you see at the top of the Ferris wheel

Great views from above. Once you are here, have a stroll in the amusement park as well. It is quite fun and helps to disconnect from the reality and enjoy the lights. Especially recommended in the sunset time for the best views.
