Athens

— 38 nights

The Birthplace of Democracy

One of the world's most ancient cities, Athens remains Europe's undisputed historical and cultural capital.
Get some historical perspective at Acropolis of Athens and Temple of Olympian Zeus. Do your shopping at Museum 'Atelier Spyros Vassiliou' and Pandora Art Gallery. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Athens: Donkeysland (in Koropi), Dasoktima Tatoiou (in Acharnes) and Temple of Poseidon (in Sounio). And it doesn't end there: stop by Plaka, stroll through Glyfada Beach, take in the exciting artwork at Eleni Marneri Galerie, and explore the ancient world of Ancient Agora of Athens.

To find where to stay, photos, maps, and other tourist information, refer to the Athens trip website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, Skiathos Island National Airport and Mikonos Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 86°F, and evening lows to 70°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sat) to allow enough time to ride a ferry to Aegina.
