Triskel Tavern opened in September 1994 and quickly became a favourite haunt for a mixed spanish and international clientele. You can plan Madrid trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.
Situated in the popular Malasaña neighbourhood, famous for 'La Movida' of the 1980s, and still the best area for night owls in Madrid. More commonly known by the locals as 'The Triskel' it's the place to meet old friends and to make new ones.
The Main Bar at Triskel has five imported beers on tap, draught cider, and bottled beers. Along with the usual spirit selection there are a number of Scottish malt and Irish blended Whiskies. Decorated in a rustic, celtic style, with light wood, soft lighting and great music it is both cosy and happening.
Food is served at the weekend and a selection of pies and pasties in the evening. Not forgetting Pilar's tortilla, probably the best you’ll get in Madrid.
A trip downstairs takes you to the aptly named 'La Caverna'. An authentic cavern with arched ceilings and exposed brick walls. Evidence of its former use, to cure spanish hams, can still be seen in the metal hooks on the walls and ceiling.
There is a small stage for live music, weekly jam sessions, quiz nights and a big screen t.v to show live sport.
Triskel Tavern Reviews
One of my Madrid friends chose to meet here for a drink and I liked it a lot. It's just a pub with a good selection of beer, nothing fancy, but the atmosphere is good and the prices decent. more »
Recently while in Madrid with a group of friends, we decided to go to this bar to watch a game as we had read and heard it was a ‘football pub’. Indeed, initial impressions were good as there were a..... more »
The best Irish pub in Madrid. Friendly staff and a cheap pint compared to most of the competition. Always showing all the English football and ideally located in the centre of Madrid
The creamiest pint of guinness I've ever swamped in continental Europe. Its ambience and friendly atmosphere is only trumped by its fantastically raunchy range of crisps. If Hash Browns are your thing you'll have a happy head on you after the Irish Breakfast. Vegetarian options available also. BOSH.
