Torres Blancas is a mixed use concrete building in Madrid, Spain designed in 1961 by Spanish architect, Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza. The structure is a noted example of Spanish Organicism. Spanish industrialist Juan Huarte commissioned the project which initially included two residential towers.

  • There is nothing special. Just anorher architecture, seems to be in bad condition. Probably not worth to go to this area.  more »

  • No need to talk about the architecture qualities, if someone reads this, would know it already. So only some useful tips: As it is a residential building, generally it is forbidden to visit the building, even to go inside the fence. There is a vigilant janitor to remind the too pushy architect tourists. So expect only outside photography. But, as the building is home to some small businesses and offices, it is not impossible to get into the lobby and staircase spaces. Only you would need good Spanish knowledge, or someone to help you through the janitor. Nevertheless, I think it's worth for the outside views anyway.
  • One may feel like she or he would be on the blade runner set :) great example od Spanish brutalism and organicism and pure „ode to concrete”. Must -see spot for every Urban tourist and archilover :)
