  • This building is located in the Chamberì district; you will surely pass us by if, coming out of the Alonso Martinez metro, you go to visit the interesting ghost station of the metro of Piazza Chamberì. The building was built in the early 1920s, using bricks and, in a small part, ceramic tiles (of Talavera), to give the palace a shape and decoration of a certain level; probably part of the modernist style, although very different from the exuberant decorations that characterize the not-so-distant Palacio de Longoria. Apart from a quick visit outside there is not much else to do; the building we found closed (it was on a Friday afternoon), once housed a hospital for poor patients, while now I do not know what use it has and who the property is.

  • Built between 1921 and 1924 by the architect Luis Ferrero Llusiá commissioned by Luz Casanova, the founder of the Apostolic ladies of the sacred heart of Jesus, to help poor patients. It was the "first building from the sanitary point of view" in Madrid. Striking in its construction mixture of brick and stone and the label of Talavera tiles, made by Navarro and Vidal.
