  • Very interesting visit to a very unknown place despite being next to the Retiro Park. It's not freely accessible. The tours are guided. It is advisable to book in advance, because you can arrive and that the visit is already complete. On the website comes very well explained the schedules and all the information. Very economical price, the general admission is 5 euros. The venue is closed for up to fifteen minutes before the start of the visit (don't get nervous if you arrive early and see it closed). It is accessed by the side door in Alfonso XII street, next to a bus stop, and they open it for visitor control fifteen minutes before the visiting time. I attended Saturday's guided tour at 12 o'clock. We entered at 11.45 and left the compound at 13.55. The visit alternates the most historical part of the building and the advances of astronomy with more technical issues and how they affect our daily life. The good guide, without haste, but without pause, pedagogical (it is difficult for an astronomer to explain these things to people who, in principle, have no knowledge). It is a reasonable visit, they explain very interesting things, essential for those who have a fondness for astronomy, astrophysics, etc. The recreation of Herschel's telescope is a breeze. Note: You have architectural barriers at the entrance (stairs)

  • Collective tour with small group that you must book in advance. All very well explained and easy to understand. Several parts of the venue are visited and it is easy to find from Atocha. Highly recommended for an unusual visit in Madrid.

  • Seemed really cool, but it is not open for the public. Only has paid tours at specific times, but the ideas that it embodies are pretty intriguing.
  • Couldn't find the entrance. Looked like a good place to visit.
