As the Paseo de la Castellana has many kilometres away, to visit this museum we're going to have to take the subway. The nearest station is named Dario Ruben (or Ruben Dario, I'm not sure) of line no. 5. The Museum is outdoors, therefore it is free to visit. The lawns of the garden could be a little better treated, but it was August, it was very hot, so it is natural that the grass was a little dry.
Embaixo de um viaduto, na Paseo de La Castellana com Calle Juan Bravo, esse museu com esculturas ao ar livre. more »Under an overpass, in the Paseo de La Castellana with Calle Juan Bravo, this museum with outdoor sculptures.
At first glance, it was just a few sculptures under a bridge, placed there through some well-intentioned yet ineffective city arts initiative. I walked past it many times without noticing it. However, my perspective changed when I was taken there by a local guide and art historian who could explain the museum as a whole and more about the individual pieces. More pieces are part of the museum than what meets the eye. I highly recommend it with the caveat that not everyone will get it and not everyone will enjoy it.
Well I wouldn't call this museum. It's just a place under bridge where you can see a few sculptures. Some of them are nice, some of them are not... worth a quick stop anyways. I appreciated there is a small pool, after walking all day long it was a pleasure to put my feet in and relax :-)
