  • A wonderful work by Don Fernando Botero, the king of the curves, a chubby climb in a bull. Located in the Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport.

  • Botero is a sculptor and painter that you like or do not like for his peculiar way of understanding the world. Some twenty years Ago he made a Magna sculpture exhibition in Madrid and the authorities bought him several sculptures. One of them is this and, in my opinion, is curious.

  • A place a little strange and surprising (between Terminal 1 and parking), to meet this bronze sculpture of Colombian Fernando Botero. He was part of an Expo that was made in 1994 and AENA acquired it along with two others that are in Palma de Mallorca airport. I love Botero's sculptures!!! In Madrid You can see one in the Plaza de Colón ("Mujer recline") and another in La Castellana at the height of the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz.

  • The statue depicts the myth of the Rapture of Europe, with the young girl, daughter of the king of Tyre, sitting on the back of a tame bull, who in fact is the God Zeus transformed to seduce her and take her to Crete. The work, carried out in 1992, by Fernando Botero was acquired by Aena and installed at the Barajas Airport in 1994. It Is One of the three that on this Greek myth has made Botero. The other two copies of the sculpture are in Chicago and Medellín.
