  • I read the word of mouth that the monastery where cervantes's remains are located, and i went there because I was interested. However, it was closed and it was not possible to enter. Because it is a monastery, I thought that it might be difficult. The next day, we went to Cervantes' birthplace in Alcala de Enares.

  • A visit is required to go around the convent. There are still nuns who live there, which is why it is absolutely necessary to respect the schedules! We went there a first time in the afternoon but arrived half an hour before closing and found closed door... So the best is to be there at the opening and with a little luck you will have a visit in your language. Small detail. there are no toilets, so be prepared :) and no photos are allowed. As soon as the tour begins, we find ourselves in another time. The painted walls, a grand staircase and you learn that it is in fact an old palace belonging to the royal family. Subsequently, it was transformed into a convent and you will be shown a series of chapels, all of which are different with a special meaning for each. You will see many paintings when you discover the successive rooms. The tour lasts a little less than an hour and is very rich in explanations. Calm and peace reign in this beautiful place. With a little luck, you will hear some notes of songs from the nuns... A really interesting visit not to be missed (Metro Opera or Sol) The chocolateria San Gines as well as the church are close. Enjoy it aloha-theworld

  • Very beautiful
  • Is it possible that no one has noticed?... Its construction dates back to 1615 and no one has noticed that the toilets are missing. I Walked (or afore) taking something for Orchards and I felt like going to the vanity. Which is my surprise when I walk in here and see there's no toilet. No wonder some people who had entered before me were kneeling in pain. Fatal seems to me... They'Ve lost a parishioner.
