  • Magnificent exhibition at the National Library, commemorating Galdós' centenary of death. Placed with pleasure, it reflects the life of the great writer through two hundred pieces: photographs, personal objects, paintings and, above all, the manuscripts of his perfectly preserved books. Exciting to contemplate manuscript-book.

  • The Spanish National Library was a magnificent ancient building right next to the Columbus monument in the heart of Rotary. It's located behind the Archaeological Museum, so it was a bit difficult to understand.

  • So Glorious!! Amazing place! The architecture is beyond beautiful & perfect in every detail! I could spend all day in front of this masterpiece admiring it! Is definitely one of the largest and most beautiful libraries that I’ve seen in my entire life! It’s in the city centre, easy to reach, located on the “Paseo de Recoletos”. A must see when in Madrid.
  • The National Library of Spain is housed in a beautiful building and contains a world collection of books and other written materials. Pity it's not accessible to the general public and obviously mostly in Spanish. On the lover ground floor, there a public museum containing information about the history of writing and publications which does have a good amount of information in both English and Spanish. Worth visiting if you have a little extra time on your hands.
