Built on a tiny island on Phewa Lake, Barahi temple offers a sanctuary for Hindu worshippers and Buddhists alike. Access the two-storey pagoda via one of the many short (5-minute) private boat rides. Observe the worshippers and idol representing the goddess Durga in the form of a boar. Make an offering, ring a bell, and look at the other Buddha statues around the temple. Pack a picnic to enjoy alongside the old trees and calm surface of the lake. Some food stalls on the island offer fish snacks.     A beautiful small serene Hindu Temple for Durga Devi (known here as Bharahi ) is in the midst of a beautiful lake of clean water. Situated in the City of Pokhara, Nepal, the lake has great settings.....  more »

    a small little temple in the lake of phewa. u can see it from the lakeside or can visit while taking a boat trip. nothing exceptional. can be crowded and unclean.  more »

    Any visit to Pokhara would be wasted if this was not one of the first places that you ought to make your way to. A short and peaceful boat trip across Fewa lake to the very popular temple set upon a small island, enables you to briefly reflect on life......... Wonderful!

    Its located in the middle of Phewa Lake. Its a beautiful Hindu Temple surrounded by water. The only way to go there is by boat. If you are in Pokhara then in some point you will visit Phewa Lake and you will be able to visit the temple with the boat you hire to see the lake. It feels nice and peaceful to be here.
