This year we decided to spend more money for our summer holidays than usual and fell in love with the glamping idea. So we booked the Safari Villa tend for 12 days. We are still a fan of the idea of glamping - the area is nice, has a good atmosphere the staff is friendly and the food is fantastic! But unfortunately had our tend more to do with camping than glamping. Our view was towards the construction area for new tends and had definately not 80 m2 garden with hammock as written online. The basic thing a shower curtain was not there so the bathroom floor stayed wet after having a shower. On the virtual computer pictures online you see a small kitchen area in the tend wich was ... of course also not there. Because of governmental problems ‚not yet‘ he sayed - anyway it is on the pictures. What you also see written online and what we also did‘nt had was for exampel: bathrobes, welcome basket, artisanal toiletries with kalymnos sponge... But at the end what made us angry the most was that we had to pay for the airport transfer back home. As you can see also online ist is included! The owner said it is just included for arrival and so we payed. What logic is that?! That is cheating! For us we see a system behind all this. You see things shown online - but you geht less at the end. And definately not worth that money we payed. I don‘t know. Maybe we had bad luck with our honeymoon... especially if you see other positive revisions. Maybe they all had different tends... 😉 But for us it is definately overrated and overpriced!
I stayed for 10 days at Sails on Kos. The owners Alexi, George and Maddy were so warm and welcoming, it really felt like staying with family. The atmosphere was spectacular with not too many people around. Just right. Breakfast was a real standout, fresh fruit and pastries each morning along with the toasted muesli was such a good way to begin each day. I highly recommend and will be back next season.
